Reverse Advent Calendar

Reverse Advent Calendar
On Thursday 1 December we start our Reverse Advent Calendar for the Foodbank. Unlike a regular advent calendar where the focus is on receiving a treat every day, the reverse advent calendar puts the focus on giving to those in need.

How does it work?
A reverse advent calendar starts as an empty box. For 20 days in the lead up to Christmas you place one food or grocery item into the box. Each day, here on our website, we’ll post a suggested item to donate. After 20 days your filled box is dropped off to the Foodbank where it’s sorted into emergency parcels to be distributed to people in our community that are experiencing food insecurity.

So, grab an empty box. Share this post and tag your friends, family or workmates to join in. And watch out for our daily posts with ideas of what to add to the box.

Merry Christmas everyone!
